Lady Da Flame: ‘I Know What It Is’
Lady Da Flame is closing out the summer with fire, unveiling her brand-new single “I Know What It Is,” a bold and vibrant fusion of Doo Wop nostalgia and reggae soul.
According to Caribbean entertainment publicist Flair Lindsey, of Acclaim PR, “I Know What It Is” comes on the heels of Lady Da Flame’s standout success with “Second Time,” the heartfelt answer to Khago’s hit “2 Times,” which earned Lady Da Flame “massive attention and acclaim.”
“With ‘I Know What It Is,’ Lady Da Flame pushes her artistry to new heights, layering rich vocals over a classic Doo Wop rhythm, with elements of reggae,” Lindsey told Caribbean Life on Tuesday, Sept. 9.
“The result is a track that feels both timeless and fresh, bridging genres while staying true to her roots,” she said.
Lindsey said the song is already gaining traction with audiences who crave “soulful, infectious music that speaks to the heart.”
Lady Da Flame said: “For me, music has always been about creating timeless connections.
“With ‘I Know What It Is,’ I wanted to fuse the golden harmonies of Doo Wop with the heartbeat of reggae,” she added. “It’s more than just a song—it’s a celebration of love, resilience, and the power of blending cultures and eras.”
Lindsey said Lady Da Flame’s momentum has been “unstoppable.”
She that, this summer alone, Lady Da Flame shared stages with reggae legends Beres Hammond and Marcia Griffiths in New York and New Jersey; delivered show-stopping performances across the East Coast, from the DMV to major metro stages; graced the cover of Stardom 101’s Summer Issue (digital); and continued the global success of “God Answers Prayers,” which has amassed over 1 billion streams and remains on international charts.
“’I Know What It Is’ cements Lady Da Flame’s reputation as one of reggae’s most versatile rising stars, seamlessly blending gospel, reggae, and now Doo Wop influences,” Lindsey said.
“With a global audience already tuned in, this latest release promises to amplify her reach even further,” she added.
