Country meets Reggae
Three-time GRAMMY® Award-winner Gramps Morgan, affectionately known as “the King of Country Reggae,” is set to bring his electrifying fusion of reggae, soul, and country music to stages across the US with the launch of his “No Water in My Whiskey Tour.”
The tour begins on Friday, Sept. 26, 2025, at the historic Crown Hill Theatre in Brooklyn.
“Blending roots reggae with the emotional grit of country music, Gramps Morgan has carved out a sound that is wholly his own,” Jamaican-born, Brooklyn-based entertainment publicist Ronnie Tomlinson told Caribbean Life on Friday, Aug. 8.
Tomlinson, CEO of Destine Media, said Gramps’s 2022 GRAMMY-nominated album Positive Vibration was lauded by critics and featured in Tyler Perry’s hit film Madea’s Destination Wedding, “reinforcing his status as one of the most distinct and powerful voices in contemporary music.”
Gramps said the tour is about “real stories, real vibes, and bringing people together with music that moves the soul.”

“The phrase speaks to the purity of joy, friendship, and good energy—warning against anything that could dilute or disrupt a beautiful moment,” she said. “Much like watering down whiskey, one wrong move can taint something special.”
Gramps said, “If there’s a great party with good vibes and one person goes too far, it can change the entire energy.
“That’s what this song is about: preserving what’s pure,” he added.
Tomlinson said audiences can expect “an unforgettable night filled with feel-good anthems, heartfelt storytelling, and unmatched live energy that have become hallmarks of the Gramps Morgan experience.”
