Jamaica Women crowned Super50 Cup Champions
Jamaica Women surged from fifth to clinch the CG United Women’s Super50 Cup. They secured the championship for the sixth time in dramatic fashion.
Entering the final round in fifth place, Jamaica capitalized on a misstep by leaders Windward Islands Women to clinch the title by a single point.
The final standings represented a very competitive tournament, with the top four positions separated by just two points.
When the Windward Islands fell to Guyana Women and Jamaica defeated the winless Leeward Islands Women in a dominant eight-wicket victory to earn them crucial bonus points, and propelled them to 21 points, one more than second-placed Windwards and third-placed Guyana, who both ended on 20 points.
This win was Jamaica Women’s first Super50 Cup title since 2024.
Defending champions Trinidad and Tobago Women, who were also in the running to lift the title after defeating Barbados Women in their final match, placed fourth on 19 points.
Barbados entered the final round in second, but dropped to fifth with 13 points. The Leeward Islands finished on 7 points, losing all three matches.
