St. Lucia Jazz & Arts Festival kicks-off May 5, at Mindoo Phillip Park, Castries
The Saint Lucia Jazz & Arts Festival is set to welcome an impressive lineup of world-renowned artists when it kicks off on May 5, at 8:00 p.m. at Mindoo Phillip Park, with Kes the Band, Shenseea and DYP & Friends.
The ten-day musical explosion that will be spread-out across the island and run until May 14, will feature, Kingdom Night, to be held at Pigeon Island National Landmark, bringing to the stage — artists: CeCe Winans, Sinach, Emrand Henry, and Special Blend.
An evening of Pure Jazz will showcase artists Luther Francois, and Gustavo Casenave, while a Caribbean Fusion night will bring artists, Buju Banton, Fay Ann Lyons, Bunji Garlin, and The Ark Band, all, to the Pigeon Island National Landmark stage.
Titled World Beats, musicians Kizz Daniel, Oxlade, Ayra Starr, Ckay, Joeboy, Alfredo Naranjo Quintet, Kayo, Michael Robinson, Kalbas, and KASSAV, will be followed by The Ultimate Celebration with Grammy-award artists Sting & Shaggy, Ronald Boo Hinkson, Barbara Cadet, Teddyson John Project, Irvin Ace Loctar, who will all light up the Pigeon Island National Landmark, during the legendary musical extravaganza.
The Saint Lucia Jazz and Arts Festival, which started in 1992, is an annual event on the Caribbean island of Saint Lucia, which brings together local and international musicians and other performing artists, as well as artisans. The festival presents jazz, R&B, and Calypso music, dance, theater, and international couture.
